Providing integrated ID management and delivery with Calopus

One of the Calopus HE projects at The University of Warwick involved improving the integration features of their existing bespoke membership system.

Warwick was keen to increase the timeliness and accuracy of transfer of ID data and to eliminate the need for file based FTP uploads by using the ablity of Calopus HE to communicate directly with LDAP directory servers.

It is part of their general drive to completely remove FTP and file uploads from their integration approach, and Calopus is underpinning this project.

ID data, images and documents can be transfered using the same common approach, making images, especially photos, far more accessible to other corporate applications.

ID management is also an area well suited to a Web Service approach. Calopus can already receive and distribute ID information using Web Service technologies.
